The aim of the meeting was allowing partners to meet in person all together for the first time, in order to analyze the work already done, to agree next steps to reach project targets, to improve teachers’ qualification in teaching of citizenship education, participation and sustainability, therefore to train students able to contribute to a democratic, inclusive and sustainable society for future.
In this meeting we started to outline the contents of the Toolkit, to offer work materials for next autumn seminar that will involve teachers -together with competence cards for students and matrix of competences for teachers-, to discuss which action could be taken to disseminate the project information -such as a newsletter-, to establish criteria and indications for internal evaluation of all the activities to be carried out.
Monday, May 9th, we visited the secondary school called Instituto de Educación Secundaria (IES) La Laboral, where the principal showed us the pedagogic setting of activities and the initiatives they are bringing forward as regards civic and citizenship education and sustainable development.
Launches were organized by the host partner into a special restaurant of the Polytechnic Higher School of Engineering (Escuela Politécnica Superior de Ingenieria).
The restaurant was managed by a society of socio-occupational integration, called Trampolín solidario, whose purpose is facilitate the job placement of unemployed people and of who is in a difficult or exclusion situation, by promoting, in that way, equal opportunities and social integration.
